These are fantastic! Thank you for introducing me to the 3 words practice. My 2016 words are Fast + Maximise + Care.

These are great iTeachModern 😉 They really speak to your heart for the new year, and for getting the most out of what is ahead, in the best, most effective way possible. And I love the inclusion of Care as well. It’s an important one and so important to underpin whatever else you’ve got going on! Look forward to seeing and hearing these go into practice this year! 🙂

LOVE your words Ashlea! And I can see those 3 working hand-in-hand very nicely as a focus for you for 2016!! I for one am always very impressed with all the DOing you seem to get DOne…but we’re all at different stages and can always keep improving from wherever we are at. So here’s to more DOing in 2016, and the passion to fuel it, and the commitment to the things you love and care about to round it off! Can’t wait to see how 2016 turns out for you xx

I like your words – but the one “curious” would never make my list. My “resist” word attempts to calm my overwhelming curiosity (which I have no lack of #sheesh).

In fact, I’m not being very “focused” (my word #2) because I’m supposed to be doing something else (not sure what, now).

But I’ll “conclude” this comment (word #3) and figure out what I should be doing…

(Thanks for the shout-out. What an honor to make your list!)

Hi Bon! It’s interesting how often we need the polar opposite of each other, but we’re all striving forward! All the best with your 3 this year…starting with focussing on what you need to do today 🙂

Hey Nadine! I’d love to add sign-up forms at the end of blogs and my About page. Could you please tell me where to find the “short code” you mentioned. Thanks! 🙂

Hey Sue! Great idea 🙂 From memory you have the MailChimp for WP plugin? If you go into the forms section you’ll see a “Get Shortcode” button. Just copy the shortcode and paste it at the end of your post. This may or may not be suitable, depending on the look of the default form.

Another option is the one above to embed the form. To do that just go into MailChimp > Lists > Sign-up Forms > Embedded forms > then choose one of the options there that suits. Once you have that right you can copy and paste the code from below (don’t worry if it looks quite complicated), then paste that into the bottom of your post. You need to be on the Text tab, not the Visual tab when you paste.

Ok, and actually another option is just to add the link to the sign-up form at the bottom of the post. You can be as simple or s fancy as you want with that. My sign-up link at the bottom of this post is essentially that. To get that link go to MailChimp > Lists > Sign-up Forms > General forms > and copy the Signup form URL. Then you just use that like a link.

There are also plenty of other ways to do this, and I can think of a few other options that might be great for you. And this comment is getting uber long, so I think I’ll bung out a post on this for you, showing a few other ways. (Including how to set-up a style to easily format your link, like I’ve done above.)

I’ll let you know once that’s up, but one of these options should get you going for the interim 🙂

Thank you so much, Nadine! I was able to trial all three and have opted for copying and pasting the URL for now. Wonderful!

Hey Nadine! As always, thank you for your tips. They’re priceless!

I have a Q. I’m not a fan of the word “Subscribe” either and just this morning I spent what at least felt like hours trying to find how I can change that word on the MailChimp sign up form. It looks like you may be able to change it if you alter it in the coding for the embedded form? but I’d love to be able to do it with the url. Any tips?

Hey there! Glad you found these useful! Good news, you can change this in General Forms as well. Give this a go: on your signup form click the Translate it ‘tab’ and change the text beside the “Subscribe to list” option. This should change it for you 😉
